Opportunities in the DR?

Good afternoon,


I ll be heading to R.D. next week. It is a vacation but my curiousity also seeks to find out potential opporunities. Is there a market for white collar jobs there. I speak Fluent English as I am americanized dominican who has lived in the US for 27 years, my spanish is pretty good as I am frequently called upon as the family translator here in the US. Alas, No college degree but have worked many years in the banking industry, mostly customer service but my last year was as a apprentice for the Financial Advisor services of a major US bank.

I heard farming is pretty good. I am trying to find out more about it on this website. I am thinking that producing food (milk, meat, vegetable etc) is always a good business.

27 years in the US, your better staying in the states, if you go into the banking industry you will start out as a teller and grow with the time, of course if you have a "padrino" who owns a bank then this does NOT apply to you.
