It might have changed a little in the western world but in countries such as the DR it's the law of nature that the female looks for the best catch so yes the wallet is important.
Since they have jobs etc they might be genuine but the only way to find out about that is to meet these women in person. You already have thought about the fact that it might be a scam so just keep your eyes open, use the little head as much as you can but don't think with it

- Actually, I am trying not to have any specific expectations. I have no expectation about sex or anything, basically spending time and getting to know her (one of them). I know I am only on a short vacation and I am not interested in using any of them just for pleasure while making them belive otherwise, doesnt seem fair.
- If I do think she is someone who I would like a serious relationship with, I would like to see her more times. Ultimately of course, I would be prepared to consider moving or vice versa.

I don't understand the problem. Just come and enjoy your vacation. It will probably be just like dating in Sweden except it won't cost as much. It's okay to arrange to meet both Women but three weeks is a long time and after meeting both if they live in the same town you'd better be prepared to make your choice between them rather promptly.

From what I gathered from the whole Elin Nordgren/ 9-iron incident you should already understand the temperament of the Dominican Woman. Even as 'friends' they can be a little territorial. It's a part of the whole "passion package".

A new 'friend' can ease your acclamation to Dominican culture and actually protect you from being scammed as well as provide you with good company during your stay. If these Women have cars and jobs then they probably have pretty good jobs and don't need to scam tourists. They may just be looking for some excitement or companionship as well after all a Woman of 30 - 35 years is considered "past prime" in Paradise. One Man's discard is another Man's discovery. By the way, you won't need to worry whether you're being perceived as aggressive. When it's time to do the nasty SHE will let YOU know and, well, let's hope you ate your Wheaties. There's a lot more to the "passion package" than just attitude.

as with women of any kind, color, culture...anything...this is not just relegated to Dominicanas...you gotta know this:

if a woman is into you....the only thing she'd ever ask you for is to spend more time with her. she's not gonna be talking to you about her "problems" or anything like that. nothing else matters to her, but spending time with you and getting to know you and who you are....trying to make herself look as attractive (not just physically) as possible towards you...

so that you would realize how valuable she is and would want to be with her forever, over all other women.

if you start hearing about her problems.
if you start hearing about money.
if she starts being overly agressive with you.
if she screws ur brains out in the first couple of dates.

all those things are the beginning of red flags.

and since you are on a short trip...any red flag on a 3 week trip to a foreign country is reason to immediately STOP any and all contact with her and spend time looking for another.


don't put any pooty on a stool...

the rules really aint that different until you lay with dogs....



ps...you said ur a hot, studly swedish sailor...but u hadn't described ur technique and size....i'm sure that's very important....cuz you're gonna be competing against a bunch of island boys...

There's the gospel.

But guys from Sweden seem to have difficulty understanding women in DR. So I just want to iterate somethings and then you can reiterate them to yourself as you board the plane.

3 weeks is a long time to hang out with just 2 women. But if I were you I would consort with them both at the same time. Its the best way to get to know both of them as best you can in the time you are here. And then you can decide who is the best woman to date.

If they do have their own jobs, cars and homes then it means that:
a. they shouldn't be begging you for money EVER;
b. they are in charge of their lives and appear to be managing things well;
c. they will be at work or in the work environment from about 6am to 6pm;
d. that they are most likely of the professional class because it takes a stable income in this country to acquire jobs, cars, and residence;
e. they are looking for a mate, otherwise why would they be on Match.com or whatever? You too, you aint fooling me. You talk like a virgin but I got your card.
f. They are probably older women, in their mid-30s at least with a child or
two. Like it has been said past 33 is "the old maid stage" in this country.

AND/OR

g. they want to meet a foreign man who will bring them to Europe and out of malfunctioning society.
h. they want to meet a foreign man who will make their live easier by sending them money.

So I would tell you to take it easy, don't commit to anything and have as much fun as you want to. I wouldn't put too much energy into a woman who posted her profile on Match.com looking for una pareja. It can happen, but if your language skills aren't proficient as they need to be to visit a Spanish speaking country, then I wouldn't say it bodes well for you.

When and while you are here, meet, greet and treat these women to a great time.
