Santo Domingo Airport to Cabarete

I know that Caribe and Metro do not go directly to Cabarete. Can I catch a GuaGua from the Santo Domingo airport that will take me directly to Cabarete or will I have to go downtown to catch one? If I can take a GuaGua, how long does it take to get to Cabarete?

Your best bet is to take Caribe Tours to Sosua then take a guagua or publico from there. The Caribe Tours bus lets passengers off at the Sosua end on the highway that goes to Cabarete. After getting off the bus, stand by the side of the highway and wait for next guagua or publico with a blue box on the top.
