So I guess your looking for beach front property in Alaska?

There are alot of expats on the north coast of the DR in the Sosua Cabarete area.

Ex-Pats live all over the country. THe North Coast is popular as well the East. Juan Dolio in the South. Do you want to be isolated? Do you want to be near convienances? Do you want the beach?

Dominican Republic - Geography

There's a lot to choose from

If you don't want humidity you could live in the mountains - Jarabacoa and Constanza, San Jos? de Ocoa, San Juan de la Maguana all have pleasant weather. Or you could live in one of the coastal areas between November and May and migrate to milder climes during the summer months. I believe the north coast is slightly cooler than the south coast. Here on the east coast it is very comfortable except for the four months of summer.
