The woman knows her country well.

    All are welcome.
Criminals with money are more welcome.
Mafiosos who know how to bribe are most welcome.

    I disagree Yumbo

Many are refused at the Cdn border for very old MJ charges - a Federal offense in Canada

Similarly, DUI's are prohibited from entering - again a federal issue in Canada

I have an American friend who had to pass 1 yr probation on a DUI .
Her probation officer warned her about going to her summer home in Canada - forbidden by Canada.

She pressed me to verify this.
I called in one of my three Fairy Favours from a Federal MP friend... who is also a lawyer.

He agreed - forbidden entry - but added, she might make if she crossed by car, but at the airports she almost certainly would be refused entry .

I ahve more stories like that

A 35 yr old US speeding ticket (unpaid) that almost cost another friend his US driver's license....

Big Brother is very big and knows mucho

But entry into DR? And you will not be turned away from DR with DUI, and some.

If we are not talking about entry into DR, then why?

The question here is whether RD has the ability to a passport/background check at entry into RD

If they use the same system, then YES, they will be able to access the passport restricted people and can/may refuse entry.

We used one country as an example that utilizes this background verification.
Heretofore , it seems Rd was incapable of this screening.

    Are they now ??
Such a s system exists (witness canada)....

    Is it available here.....?

    That's where we are...huh?

So you are saying if they can now access thus info they will deny entry? I disagree, strongly that a criminal record will have you turned away at the door. Canada turn people away because they are paranoid. Dominicans don't know what paranoia is!
