Hola. I need to find an honest and trustworthy lawyer whose background is property in the Puerta Plata area. The US Embassy gives a list but they do not give recommendations. I do not live in the Dominican and am looking for recommendations. I've had previous experience with lawyers who like to pad their hours when billing and am looking to avoid that. Thanks in advance for your help

Fabio Guzman, the lawyer who answers questions in this thread has an office in Sosua. They are the people I use, as do many other foreign residents. Real estate is one of their specialties and they are honest.
