I don't know the Spanish, but you could use plumber's putty on the leaks for the short term and if you drain the tank you can use epoxy putty. Try at an auto supply store for the epoxy putty. It comes in a tube about 8" long and 1" in diameter(maybe 200 pesos?). You break off a piece and kneed it to activate it, and then you have about 10 minutes to press it onto the leaks. Be sure to clean the area first with steel wool.



They also make a rubberized tape for plumbing which you wrap like a bicycle handlebar. It self seals after a bit, but I kind of doubt you can find it in the DR.
