Renewal is RD$4,000, VIP RD$1,000, form RD$100, late fees RD$2,000 per year X 5 = RD$10,000.
Altogether that is RD$15,500.

Now, if your cedula is expired you will have to renew it too (different place). There is in amnesty at the moment and you would get away with RD$5,000 for renewal and late fees.

You are mistaken, look at your own renewal, you paid 9,000 you said? That is 4,000 for the renewal, 4,000 late fees and 1,000 VIP. It's just a small detail but that is what everybody paid the last weeks I know of.

It would not be surprising (in the DR) if different people paid different fees for exactly the same circumstances for renewal.
