Want to have 5 adults visit us after Christmas here in DR, but in checking airfares it's still very expensive flying into POP.

Since our place won't accommodate all anyway, would it make sense to do a package to an AI in this area?

Have read they aren't all that great on North Coast. WHICH ONE(S), IF ANY are nice enough that we could all stay there are not hate the food/rooms etc? And do they give good enough deals (including airfare from USA) that this idea might make sense?

Or know how to get info on charter flights?

Google all inclusive deals, Puerta Plata. You can then check on availability for the dates you need. Very important, you can also look at reviews by others who have stayed at these locations. You are looking at high season, but an all-inclusive is still probably your best value. Jet Blue does offer air fare and hotel deals. These would work if you are flying out of NYC. You can look at there web site. The other option is to check vacationrentalsbyowner. This is a web site where you can rent condos or villas. If you have 5 people the cost per person may be reasonable enough that you can still go with standard airfare, however you would still have to cover meals and drinks. Good luck.
