I made a huge seafood paella tonight, with 7 fishes [Italian tradition] that was delicious. Made a pastelon of maduros and beef for the first time [recipe from Aunt Clara's Dominican cookbook] that was a big hit. Tray of arepita de yuca [one of my favorites], fresh avocado, etc., etc. Flan and bunches of different cookies for dessert. We opened our gifts tonight, been doing that for decades - got an iPad that I have to figure out. Daughter says "Ma, it's just a big iPhone". We'll see.

No photos, and leftovers went home with the kids.

Tomorrow I get a break, daughter and her husband are cooking.

good luck on i pad it has taken me two years to get used to smart phones.. i hate anything labeled as smart

I made arroz con guandules,roast pork(pernil),mashed potatoes,gravy,
glazed sweet potatoes with apples,stuffed shells with cheese,deviled
eggs.

For dessert an assortment of homemade cookies,cheese flan and ambrosia.

Also coquito (Puerto Rican egg nog) and a raspberry and strawberry fruit punch.

I am sooo stuffed!:lick::)
