I am a single male visiting the Dominican Republic November 15-19, 2001. Heard about a hotel called Residencia El Candil, situated in a quiet neighborhood approximately 5 minutes from the beach. Has anyone heard of the hotel, stayed at the hotel, or knew someone who stayed there. Not interested in being hyperlinked to the hotel site for the usual PR, which often is exaggerated, but want to hear first hand from folks with unbiased knowledge about the hotel. Want to submit a reservation request by the weekend. Quick responses are appreciated. They offer an optional meal plan with the room rates. Is the food good there? Thank you. Michael
