We only saw 2 vehicles the entire way. Plenty of burros and horses though. More pictures in next post.

Every bridge we came to was washed out. More pictures follow.

Much of the road looked like this.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/52718479@N05/8440242169/" title="DSCN3764 by appleman bob, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8236/8440242169_5ecb4cb0ea_c.jpg" width="714" height="800" alt="DSCN3764"></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/52718479@N05/8440242071/" title="DSCN3763 by appleman bob, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8336/8440242071_15000216b6_c.jpg" width="800" height="600" alt="DSCN3763"></a>

I would have liked to take more pictures, but shortly after this one I took an unscheduled swim on a river crossing and submerged my camera!! A lot of fun though.

Great to know. I will pass this on to the 4 wheel and buggy guys..as well as the big 2 wheelers that love mud and rivers...

Thanks.

It was a few km south of Jamao. Unmarked of course. Just a rocky turnoff from the main highway.

When you say a few km south of Jamao, do you mean after you cross the bridge after town, and then start winding your way up the mountain--as your heading south to Moca?

Thanks, Frank

Correct. After leaving town going up the mountain, the turn is on the left. No signs. But coming back down from Moca (Heading north before Jamao,) the turn has a couple of billboards pointing right. But I can't remember what they were advertising.
