I'm planning on obtaining an original birth certificate with apostille, which I will use to apply for Dominican citizenship. I know the birth certificate needs to be translated into Spanish, but who should I turn to for this? Does it need to be translated physically in the Dominican Republic, or should it be done by a sworn translator at the Dominican embassy/consulate of my home country?

Does anyone have experience or knowledge about this? Thank you.

You can have it also translated here in the dr , they just must be an official translator . Several good ones on the north coast and most likely cheaper than your home country.
