I wasn't sure where to put this, but I thought it would be of general historical interest rather than specifically Santo Domingo.
I found this when going through some of my late fathers' belongings. It is a postcard sent to him by his USA math teacher from Cuidad Trujillo in 1938. I don't know why he kept it for 75 years, but I'm glad he did. It is in mint condition and a nice look at history. I like the cool "dos centavos" stamp and the fact that there was a pretty good postal system back then under the dictator.
