Garden Center in Santiago?

it's called a vivero and there are hundreds in santiago.. my personal favorite is cavalier about 1/2 KM east of Bellon on carretera duarte.

I am glad you asked that. I am also searching for mulch. Does anyone have have suggestions for type of mulch? Or what is available?

it depends on where you live --- there are plenty of viveros and many of them carry mulch (or something similar to mulch). where are you guys located?

there is a nice place on Rafael Vidal (in el embrujo) pretty close to the Bellon (on the same side of the road) but if you're not in that part of the city, maybe we can find one closer to you.

in las colinas, fairly close to you (well, closer than rafael vidal) there is a vivero called ManyLeo --- he has all kinds of plants, soil, and we bought some kind of mulch from him awhile back. Not sure about the rocks/gravel (though I bet you can get that at ochoa).

To get to the vivero-- take the estrella sadhala toward puerto plata. At the super market "venezuela" (Old Central 2), and the texaco station, you will turn left onto the principal road in las colinas. At the SECOND street, turn right. The vivero is about 1 minute in, on your right and hard to miss if they're open.
