this video already went viral but maybe some here did not see it. absolutely fantastic!

read an interview with the director of this clip. no CGI involved. this video was rehearsed several times but the end result was taken in one go, one try only. JCVD is standing on small platforms fixed to the mirrors. there was a harness that would prevent JCVD from falling to the ground but it is not visible.
full scoop on how the video was made here:
How Volvo Created the Jean-Claude Van Damme

Van Damme is still in great shape to have performed this stunt and I love the song Only Time by Enya.:)

BS on the trucks being driven in reverse. No way. I don't care how many "signals per second" in the steering sensors. They're still 18 wheelers.

It was filmed going forward with him starting in the split position, with the trucks slowly coming closer to each other. It's a lot safer starting wide and coming in closer. Then they show it in reverse and lie to make it more dramatic.

did you read the link i provided? trucks were going in reverse. volvo has contracted special drivers for their stunts (there are few more). the comments under the article linked talk about how only one of the trucks actually pulled away gently, the other was going straight all the time. i give volvo benefit of the doubt. it is a great commercial and van damme rocks in it.

When I was good at racquetball, I took some lessons to get better. I had an instructor who could do that same full 180 degree split at will. He had us all train to to the same. I could get to about 110 degrees. It was not possible for me to get more than that without a trip to the hospital. I explained to him that I had people ask me how I could play so many games and still win. I then explained to him that winning at racquetball had little to do with that specific ability, it was more about endurance and the ability to hit they ball where they could not get to it and we moved on from the importance of the split. My best memory was trouncing a professional football player from the NY Jets in a game. He was in amazing physical condition, but had poor eye hand coordination. Then again, everyone beat the Jets back then.

I have no doubt that Jean Claude VanDamme could do that particular commercial.

I find this suspicious to say the least. Not to rain on anyone's parade but JPV is not a very nice guy.

Even if that was in reverse the guy is in great shape. I used to see him at Scores all the time hes a pretty down to Earth guy. Likes to party thats for sure.
