Based upon my recent visit there for stitches it is ok for minor problems like stitches.

Based upon my recent visit to HOMS it is ok for minor surgery.

Based upon my more extensive experience as a patient in the us you will find a range of capabilities there that on the low-end match union medica. But that on the high-end are unmatched here. For services like major surgery i recommend the us.

HOMS, Union Medica, Corominas and Centro Medico Cibao are what to use in SG, but it's the DOCTORs that count more than the specific clinic. (HOMS has a lot of flash for which the docs have to pay overhead which is passed on to you.)

I had my horror stories of all, even CEDIMAT in SD (see HERE).

The big clinics in my experience have cumbersome bureaucracies in their labs. Have your images done at CRESA and your analyses done at LabReferencia (demanding discount for cash, no insurance).

Good advice all. HOMS is the most modern and most of their doctors have offices in the other, more traditional clinics.

i have never been to HOMS as a patient and i do not care for that clinic at all. i have only ever used clinica union and had excellent service in there. some of the family members are doctors there too and those specialists that we visit or regular basis are really fantastic. i had my surgery in clinica union and i was very happy with the level of care and attention.

My mantra on the Island has always been, if its acute such as trauma, get it treated here, if its chronic or elective, go State Side.

I recommend HOMS. The doctors I go to there have their offices in HOMS. They used to split their time between their HOMS office and their office in the clinic where they worked before HOMS opened, but now they are only in HOMS.
