Has anyone had any experience with this property or developer? I am thinking about it as an investment, putting it into the rental pool and using it a couple of times a year. The developer has a few other projects that were supposedly successful.

The location is a good one. You need to find out what the monthly maintenance fees are? What the arrangement for cleaning the apartment? What will the security be? If you can buy the apartment at an attractive price it is probably a sound investment. Also find out what the cost of the furniture package is? A lot of the success is in the hands of the administration of the the apartments. Don't be afraid to low ball your offer. Sometimes the sales people want to make a sale and get some cash back into the system. You can always come up with a higher price. You don't want to leave money on the table. Good luck.
