In 2013 AAASosua spayed and neutered nearly 1200 animals.
All this is done by voluntary effort, local support and resources, and by donations, sponsoring of individual dogs and support from the international sponsors of AAASosua.
A BIG THANK YOU to all of you that have helped in the first half of the year!
Early this year two vets, Dr Tim Bonin and Dr Anne-Katrin List, came from Germany in February 2014 to support the efforts of AAASosua in the Charamicos operative which aimed to humanely control the dog and cat population in and around Sosua, Dominican Republic by spaying or neutering them. They had sponsorship from Tierklinik am Stadtwald Frankfurt , Tierklinik Egelsbach , Dagmar Stech and Isabel Gorski of Creole Dogs. Verein zur Hilfe und F?rderung des kreolischen Hundes e.V.
AAASosua went ahead with a field operative on March 12 in Jardins Deportivo beyond Caberete. This was the second major field operative of 2014. Dr Susanne Vogler of Tierarztpraxis Wurster Strasse was over here from Bremerhaven, Germany and was joined on the operative by Dr Frank Alfano from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA.
After the Jardin Deportivo outreach the AAASosua operatives continued through March at AAASosua Facility with Dr Frank Alfano and Karen.
April was a busy month for AAASosua.
The AAASosua facility has been well used in April with three visiting vets putting in nine days of effort during the month, Dr Brent Babcock from Lynden Animal Clinic, ( Lynden Animal Clinic ) Dr Slaymaker, and Dr Kelly Volmers, from Wasaga Beach, River Road Animal Hospital.
