this weekend salud publica in POP will do a massive program of rabies vaccinations across the city. the service is free and both cats and dogs will get their shots.

dominican government organizes those regularly and rabies has been pretty much eradicated.

those programs are actually done regularly and always free of charge. it seems like it is quite effective, given the number of homeless dogs here. good job for DR. hopefully this disease will be completely wiped out.

They actually rang the bell at the gate at 1500 today.
Free vaccines ( even though the dogs were injected earlier on this year), dog "passport" thingy with name, date, type, birth date.....
On 4he back a reminder what to do in case of a bite, address and telephone number of centro antirrabicco nacional.
All in all very well done and organised.

P.s. They didnt want to vaccinate my dogs...... they said they would take my word that I would do it......
