Club Lookea experience? Haiti ? Is this a free ad? Why would anyone want to go there when we can stay right here and get kidnapped and mugged? At least here we understand what the criminals are saying. What is hands up and give me your money in creole anyway ?

I don't think they are aiming at someone of your ilk.

Haiti has always been a special niche even during its better tourist days. It has never been a destination for the masses.

Suffice it to say at this point they'll take any "ilk" they can get.

They may be willing to take in any ilk, but they won't get it.

And Haiti has never been, is not, and will never be a destination for the masses. (cruise port of calls excluded)

Club-Med was aware of that fact and Transat is aware of it.

Ouch!!!! Touched a nerve there, did I ? We are not lining up to take a vacay behind walls and armed guards to a lawless country where the people are sick, starving and there is no government but the view is pretty. Does the resort offer tours of the local neighborhoods so we can see the jewels and special niches? No person with a social conscience would visit your resort. Your post sounds like you invested some money or work for the resort, maybe both?

i would visit. not that i have social-yawn-conscience. this resort will give employment to locals and a needed income for many. who the hell are you to talk about being socially conscious? you want haiti to remain a destroyed wasteland or to rebuild its economy? all inclusive resort is better than nothing at all.
