Haiti Has Recalled Its Ambassador from the Dominican Republic

And also refuses to apologize: Yesterday too, the Minister of Communication of Haiti, Rothschild Francois Junior, said that his country will not submit a note of apology demanded by the Dominican Republic, which accuses him of leading a campaign of insults and disparagement that has ramifications on both sides the territory and abroad.

Another article about the refusal to apologize, some very strong words and accusations against DR. No one forced anyone to move to DR, and no one stopped them from escaping from their exploitation:

Haiti Prime Minister says he will not apologize for criticizing Dominican migration

Port au Prince, July 21 (EFE) .- The Haitian Prime Minister Paul Evans, said today that "it is difficult to ask victims to apologize to his tormentors" as a way to imply that Haiti will not apologize to the Republic Dominican by the criticism leveled against its immigration policy to the international community.

Paul was expressed in these terms during the meeting he held for more than one hour, with representatives of groups of Haitian civil society today called a "march for dignity" through downtown Port au Prince, in solidarity with the Dominicans Haitian descent and Haitians in the Dominican Republic.

The mobilization, which brought together about 2,000 people, concluded with the said meeting with the minister, during which they raised a number of petitions to the government, as they refuse to accept citizens stateless Haitian territory or entering Dominican products is prohibited involving competition for local.

Paul said it is "a matter of honor that citizens demonstrate their patriotism in the streets", and its solidarity with "brothers victims of humiliation in the neighboring country, where they have been exploited."

The mobilization was held today in solidarity with the citizens of Haitian descent "victims of arbitrary" decision of the Constitutional Court (TC) Dominican denying citizenship to children of illegal immigrants, and to seek international solidarity "against violations human rights "who believe in Dominican Republic committed against their compatriots.

Yesterday, the Dominican Foreign Minister, Andr?s Navarro, asked in front of the permanent ambassadors to the Latin American and Caribbean Group (GRULAC) that the Haitian authorities "cease promoting negative campaign against the Dominican Republic".

Navarro also said that, given the "accusations without evidence held by the government of Haiti to the Dominican Republic, unfortunately, you can not resume a frank, open, honest and respectful dialogue as we had advanced through the respective bilateral joint committees ".

"If the Haitian government wants the welfare of its citizens, the first thing to do is to cease these inconsiderate attacks against the Dominican Republic," it is the authority of the neighboring country who did not assume its responsibility to facilitate the proper documentation for Haitians residing in our country without legal status, "Navarro said.

And last week the deputy minister of the Presidency, Luis Henry Molina, said that Dominican Republic does not return to dialogue until it has apology from Haiti, founded by evil epithets expressed against the Dominican people to the Organization of American States (OAS ).

Without that exploitation Haiti would have even less than it has now. I can't hear it anymore. They f****d it up over there, them alone and long before that earthquake. The only thing they know is to smear and blame. They are not able to run their part of the island. It is not DR fault.

I wonder what the chit chat between Martelly and the Haitian ambassador consist of.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the declarations that the U.S. ambassador to Haiti made yesterday regarding the inexistence of a humanitarian crisis in Haiti.

I'm sure it also has nothing to do with the declarations U.S. ambassador to the DR made recently regarding how unfair the international media has been with the DR.

It will much less be about the declaration of the Spanish ambassador to the DR regarding Spain's support of the DR and inviting people from around the world to visit the DR.

Perhaps the discussion revolves around the Haitians that were born in Haiti and Haitian border officials are mistreating, extorting, and then denied entry to their country on the basis that "they don't show proof they were born in Haiti." There's an article in Listin Diario about a young Haitian that was mistreated and prevented from entering Haiti when he decided to go back to Haiti in order to apply for a Dominican visa and return legally. The guy crossed illegally back into his country in order to reach his parents at their home near Cap Haitien.

La chancellerie rappelle Daniel Supplice de son poste d'ambassadeur d'Ha?ti en R?publique dominicaine

He was removed by Martelly and Paul for being too outspoken against the Haitian authorities according to Haitian news media. He is being replaced by a close family friend of Martelly..... I guess to toe the line and not talk to the press about Haiti's failure to supply Haitian nationals.....some near 50k with documents to allow them to register for the Plan.
I guess Martelly didn't like very much that Mr Supplice said that the 'crisis' is Haiti's fault for not documenting the Haitians in DR as they promised to do. The only Haitian diplomat that was actually telling the truth and this is the price he has to pay.

And he was in Martelly's circle by what the Le Nouvelliste article said.

But the truth came out from some honest Haitians and makes the exaggerated news stories of the past weeks look so hollow now.

Even the Haitian border control agency now is reporting of a significant number of voluntary arrivals albeit less than DR has stated and less than the Haitian press has been reporting.

lol..lol..lol 2000 people..lol

Most probably paid by the organizers.

The numbers show that there is no crisis and that most Haitians could not give a damn about Haitians in DR.

The Haitian prime minister/ government should not apologize for anything said.

Let both countries close their embassies/consulates.

DR needs to step up the deportations and the outside powers need to stay out of it.
