According to Zoraima Cuello, Deputy Minister of the Presidency and spokeswoman for the 911 National Emergency system, the service receives at least 5,000 calls a day where no one speaks at the other end of the phone.

hmmmm...another inflated number! 5000 calls a day? That means they receive 3.42 calls per minute for EVERY minute of the day....where no one says a word.

We were joking that the reason there is no one on the line is because they wait so long to answer at 911, that the person is dead already!

Wasnt there a recent Article , and THIS was stated as THE REASON why they want every SIM Card registered to an ID Card, or something like that..
Most DR #s being Pre Paid obviously.
And because of all these Ridiculous Calls Clogging up the 911 System, making 911 essentially USELESS and Worthless..

That is really the most Important part of the Story, although I agree that the # is probably grossly exaggerated.

If anyone deserves blame though it would be the Prank 911 Callers who dont realize how dangerous a game that is.
