Can anyone recommend a shipping company to ship a 20 ft. container from Nova Scotia to Santo Domingo. I am looking for the most economic price. Please advise if the said Company will clear same at ADUANA as well.

Thanks

I have heard that Peralta Bros http://www.peraltabroshipping.ca/ is a trusted company but it might mean getting your container to Montreal which is their nearest listed port to Nova Scotia.

any freight forwarder can do this.
They give you a container for a specific period of time - for you to load.
It gets taken to the port .

You'll need continuing service at the RD end...they can help with this too.

Look on Google for Export shippers, or Companies.

Peralta is a good option .

Contact any national moving company in your area. They will quote you a price and even arrange for delivery to your door in the DR.

You will undoubtedly have to directly pay the broker to clear customs in the DR as well as any taxes/duty that are assessed.

My first call was $14,000...... more calls yielded $4,000.

It's all a bit tricky until you find the right company.
Personal movers were the most costly, I found.
I used a commercial exporter in the US.

Call Benchmark Export in PA.... maybe Staphanie is still there.

In RD, Hispaniola Freight.
I get tired of suggesting that people should start in RD and work backwards.
Also, specify Caucedo as your RD destination.
