Prescription Eyeglasses and exam

I need an eye exam and prescription eyeglasses. Nothing serious, probably a specialized reading pair of eyeglasses. In the past I have always done this stateside.

Is the cost any cheaper in Santo Domingo? What about the quality of the lenses?

To do here, or not to do hear?

I don't know if the prices differ between Santiago and Santo Domingo, but I wanted Titanium frames, scratch resistant Progressive lenses that self tint in the sunlight.....30,000 DP, (frames 18,000, lenses 12,000), I am still looking, but the prices are all about the same everywhere I look.
