this election has been a spanish lesson for me
i now know that chamo means pimp pmsllllllllllllll

Chamo also means kid in Venezuela.

It's the only meaning I know for this word: Venezuelan regionalism for boy (male), similar to muchacho or chico.

The equivalent term in Mexican Spanish is Chamaco (although there are other possibilities).

All these words have their origin in Romani (Gypsy) word for child, chaval?:
Chaval, chamo, chamaco, chavo, chavea all mean child in different parts of the Spanish-speaking world.
It's also said to be the origin of the English derogatory term "chav".
