Hello Jared, Like Charlie said, if you are traveling with a tour operator, they will be waiting for you at the airport. But, for the cab fare, I would rather think it to be in the vecinity of 200-250 pesos. By the way, the name is PLAYA DORADA. Playa Dorada is located approx. 15-16 km or 10 miles west from the airport. If you like the night life, don't miss visiting the discos in Playa Dorada. Every resort have night entertainment put up by the activity staff, but the shows are finished around 11:00pm. The action starts in the discos around 11:30pm. You have three discos open to public - this means that the disco is not reserved to guests from that specific resort. These discos have a better variety of music, better choice of drinks (at very decent prices) and all are within walking distance from any of the 14 resorts of Playa Dorada. They are: Andromeda (hotel Heavens), Crazy Moon (hotel Paradise) and Tops (hotel Playa Naco). If you like gambling, within Playa Dorada you have two Casinos: in hotel Playa Dorada and in hotel Paradise. If you like water sports, if not offered at your resort, on the beach you can rent Jet skis, windsurf boards, you can waterski. You can also go scuba diving (there should be someone offering scuba diving excursions at your resort), horseback riding. Also every resort have bicycles to lend to their guests for them to go riding within Playa Dorada. You can golf (the Robert Trent Jones 18-holes golf course is nice and easy) for approximately US$40-50, including caddy (which is obligatory).
