Speaking only to the Air Canada "changes",

these are almost exclusively former charter routes which were converted to regularly scheduled routes recently. They have always been seasonal and just because of the symantics of charter vs. scheduled designation they will almost assuredly remain as seasonal. Unless there are changes in travel patterns they will be back for next season.

Watch for another "earth shaking" announcement from one of the Airline Triumvirate later this year when these routes are re-established.

Perhaps the original poster meant "London in Ontario, Canada" as opposed to "London, UK" ?

London ON: Charter route common until the Spring as it is a long haul by car to Toronto and AC would not want to lose business to Detroit. These are all charters off schedule, AT and C3000 (when it existed) did the same thing - there are far less April - October Canada - DR charter flights each year but unlike not too long ago there are some, before I remember when there were none at all.

Hint: You want to know "facts" about airlines ask the airline and not the quintet that posts opinions and rumours here. I think they are maybe running to the end of March like usual (Skyservice and AT have this same sort of annual pattern with a couple of LRM flight hung onto year-round, maybe PUJ since it has become so popular now) then zip until the winter. I think you may have to check Air Canada Vacations site not AC proper as they are charter flights for the most part.
