Good Fare For August '04

Well I've seen most of you guys are ticket's gurus!!!

Well I'm planning to go to DR in august 2004, from Aug 12th to Aug 19th or
my second option would be from Aug 5th to Aug 12th.

Departing from NYC (JFK or EWR) to Santiago (STI) as first choice or Santo Domingo (SDQ) second choice...

Could you please help to find a good fare, cuz the only website I use to check for flights it's yahoo.com or directly in the airline's website.

Or at least give me a few websites where I can get good price (I call a good price with US$ 360 as maximum).

Some tips from all of the experienced travelers would be great for me also. Last year I paid $350 from MIA to SDQ(July 5th-August 19th) on AA. When I check the rates now, from August 2nd-August 19th the best price I can find is $382 with Dutch Caribbean. I keep reading in the other forums and noticed that some are paying less than me and they are traveling from NYC. Why is it that I pay more if I am alot closer to DR? Should I take a risk and wait until the last mintue to book a flight? ANY tips would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a ticket on american for 24days del 1 al 24de agosto departing at 6am and coming back at 740 pm a 385 for american is good

If you book with AA keep a look out at the fare because they will give you a credit for any overseas flight. We have gotten credits twice on the same ticket many times just have to keep watch and book directly with AA if you go through one of the many cheap ticket sights they don't give the credit.
