Santo Domingo - Best place to change dollars

My wife will be arriving in Santo Domingo on Sunday, can anyone say whether or not there tends to be a 'best place' to change dollars? Does one place generally give a better rate than others? She'll be staying in Gazcue, not that far from the Jaraguar hotel

I know people are posting the rates they get on a daily basis, but they don't always say 'where' they changed up.

They seemed to have rates consisent with the cambios when I changed $ there. Maybe they want to get you to gamble with your pesos. And to your other comment most of the time they do say where they changed the currency, in the thread reserved for just posting the rates.
