Hi I am currently doing a market study on lubricants area.(15W40,Hidraulic, etc)
Does anybody have information about the import volume per year?
I have been looking in government sites, but no luck.
I will be gratefull for any information about it, or about where I can get this info.

Regards,

Gus

I think that the people at

CIEDR.gov.do might be abole to help you.

Tons of product in the lubricant field is imported here.

or contact shell company at:
The Shell Company (WI) Limited

http://www.shell.com
asunto.publicos@scwido
octavio.j.munoz@scwido.simis.com
or check here http://www.mau.com.do/contenido.html
or go to superpagesdr and type "lubricantes" you'll find a list of distributors most of them are importers so you can call them and they can help you better.

Aduanas (Customs Department) has these statistics. I would guess that your potential competition will be loath to give you this information.

Either go to Aduanas yourself and inquire as to how you can obtain the statistics or contact them through www.dga.gov.do and see if they reply.

And sometimes, in person, you also get nothing. But sometimes, you get more that what you wanted... ;) Strange country we live in.

Try the Secretaria de Industria y COmercio - Departamento de Hidrocarburos. If they can help, they'll let you know. Believe it or not, they can be quite helpful
