There's 'rack rate' and then there's the rate one pays depending on occupancy and a myriad of other factors.
Really depends on what you're looking for. If it's just a place to crash, and you're not worried about noise, a high level of service, a pool, beach access and the rest, there are definitely places available more suited to that, some of them quite nice. But I like to think that there are people who will pay a little more to get a little more.
