Who can give me some tips of nice hotels in the DR? i am arriving 1 of january to stay for long in the capital, but i want to have one night in a hotel in punta cana or cabarete. just to have 2 days at some beach. i will arrive in p cana or POP so both sides i need tips. who knows of some economical hotel with aire, and breakfast, at a nice beach?

I am amazed that you haven't been flooded with responses

I certainly can't give you any advice about Punta Cana, since that's about 3/4 of the DR away from where I am.

If you go to the North Shore--POP, Sosúa or Cabarete...just type in your destination+cheap lodging in the search function.

In Sosua, you have Rocky's and Condos Dominicanos and I don't know how many more...

First you had better pick out your destination.

comes to my mind, you will find from average to very good reviews here. The first one has a pool, both of them offer rates with breakfast and are located few steps far from a gorgeous beach.
