SDQ to Jamaica

For a small job i have to make the jump to Jamaica in January

I can't find anywhere on internet a direct flight from SDQ to MBJ

All flights on google first go to Miami and than back to Jamica
(for $650)

Any suggestions?

I think Airjamaica discontinued their Santo Domingo-Montego Bay flights

so your options are conecting via the USA
Via Cuba,
or with Copaair to Kinston via Panama city

None of the options are cheap though

My online resource shows all via Fort Lauderdale or Miami from SDQ on 1/10 as an example date. AA, US or Spirit then Air Jamaica. COPA only to Kingston and not daily.
