With a little luck, these guys will suck in a whole lot of personal info and steal a bunch of folks identities! I also love it when "professional" agencies do not take the time to go through their scam and spell everything correctly before sending it out (ie..."SOFT WARE IN THE GOBAL WORLD" (GOBAL, does this mean hyper-space?...haha and ..."Principals and employees of the Contiental Lottery Promos..." (don't even know how to spell their own company name).

Well, I am confident we will now see 8,000 variations of this shortly.

Can't filter everything

Couple of days ago crawled through filters a message from widow of Yasser Arafat, offering US$80M for some minor assistance with funds transfer. Why didn't I take it:cry: ...

You would think that they would bother to get someone to correct the grammar & spelling, if they have any hopes of actually sucking somebody in.

what they usually do is ask for you to deposit the percentage of your winnings due to them before you actually receive the rest. or in some cases you handle frauduent deposits which are credited to your account you pay them and then the bank realizes it's a false deposit and removes the money from your account, so you are still out the other money.

This week I received one from a despondent woman in Iran offering to do the whole procedure for a little sum of $86,000,000.00. She said her husband had been killed and she needed to escape. I would love to know what goes through their heads about the people they are trying to dupe? They must think that there is a lot of stupidity out there!!!

Not a lot of stupidity, but enough to keep trying, even a blind hog finds and acorn once in a while.

These letters are common. I used to get more, but now have better filters. Even so, I see enough in the "spam" mailbox to know that they are still being circulated.

Why don't these people put their creative energy to use in writing novels and magazine articles?

I never got something like that in my email box but heard of these schemes the question is where these people get so much money and is not there no way for them to get their money out of their countries other than just sending out these stupid emails?
