Need cheap airline tickets from MCO TO STI.....

I need airline tckts from Orlando, FL ( MCO) to Santiago, Dom. Rep. (STI), The cheapest I found was $593.00 going from MCO to Newark, NJ then to Santiago .
Looking for August vacation. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Drive over to Ft. Lauderdale, long term park, fly Spirit to Santo Domingo and then taxi->bus to Santiago or the North Shore....still save much money..

Good luck, as I've been watching flight prices daily since late January from MCO (Orlando) to either STI (Santiago) or POP (Puerto Plata) for my upcoming trip in May. American has been running around $587 and their highest has been $619. Delta is running $631 from Orlando to Atlanta and then non-stop to POP.
AA did drop their price on 2/21 & 2/22 to $528, but then on 2/23 it went back up to $573. AA prices fluctuate everyday but $528 has been the cheapest so far this year. Prices are alittle better if you leave from Miami on AA.....$375 to $400. Like I said I'm checking everyday, if I see the prices drop I'll IM you.
