father altering sons birth certificate?

question=father has son not married to mother!!i like to know if father of child can alter part of sons last name and it be legal and without mothers consent in doing,i like to add he has documents by lawyer and he now resident of malaga spain..

A father has the right to acknowledge a child as his. Once he does this legally, the birth certificate will be "altered" to reflect the fact that he is the father and his last name will be added to the name of the child, as follows:

Child's name was Juan P?rez, P?rez being the mother's last name.

Father's last name is Gonz?lez.

Child's legal name will now be Juan Gonz?lez P?rez. In the Dominican Republic a person will go by both his father's and mother's last names, in that order.

mr guzman thanks for reply,,,but like to add,son carries fathers name on birth certificate,father changed last letter in fathers name on certificate,which was then an s and now altered to a z,....
