Interesting article about the illicit AIDS drugs supply line. A whole underground market from some bodega in the Bronx to Santo Domingo to Boca Chica and beyond. Because of the high prices of these drugs people commit fraud with public money to live. Can you blame them...what would you do?

THis illustrates the role that poverty and ignorance play in the HIV/AIDS world.
There are good (yes, good!) government programs that provide antiretrovirals at minimum/no cost to the needy.
However, those that do not know and cannot read the signs that tell them that these meds are available or that guide the patients towards the programs that provide the meds are condemned to look for these "irregular" providers.

A shame.
