I stayed at the Nicolas Ovando. Not that I was sneaking chicas into my room but my sister was spending the night. I had to walk passed the front desk to get in. They knew that she wasn't a guest. I had to pay for her.

Maybe a larger hotel it's easier but.. I remember a thread awhile ago where someone was upset that they wouldn't let him upstairs to see his sister-in-law.

The hotels are on "chica patrol" jajaja

While not impossilbe ..... But.....

Like the Jaragua or Marriott etc......

I have stayed at the Jarragua many many times and I have tried and tried to bring guests back to my room. First, let me suggest that you read the Santo Domingo thread as you will see that this topic has been covered many times.

First remember, that if you get caught, then they may Bounce you out of the hotel....

But, back to your question - While it is not impossible to bring guests back to your room, it can be done. If you are staying in the tower (in one of the upper floors), then you have to be very very lucky to get someone up to your room when nobody is watching. This hotel has "Lobby Officials" who wear gray pants and blue sports jackets (security) who are watching everything. They stand right at the elevators and they watch for just these type of situations. Forget about trying to bribe them, because there are also cameras watching both them and you. - - - You just have to be lucky and get your guest into the elevator when the security folks have stepped awayfrom their posts for a few seconds.... (no too likely)

However; If you stay at the Jarragua, request a room in the GARDEN. This is a separate 2-story buidling that is located in the rear of the main hotel. The rooms are awesome and better than the main tower. The rate is often a few dollars less and the most important is that this building is more "Private" . There still is security located there, but the secuirty guard is mostly watching the parking lots versus watching the guests come and go to their rooms. (you just may get lucky here)

Best of luck to you. - My suggestion is to stay at a guest friendly hotel. There are plenty of them. PM for details on other hotels.

Why go through the trouble of risking embarrasment and getting tossed out. Like Rocky said you will be committing a theft of service, if the chica is your novia, let her register properly or just choose a guest-friendly hotel that won't mind.

Hilton is guest-friendly, for a 30 dollar fee...
I've seen Marriott (Courtyard) guest friendly too. I think no fee is involved.

If the Chica is your Novia, register her at YOUR arrival to the hotel, even if she is not with you. She will be put into the hotel's guest registry and have no problems when she wants to get in.

Melia - no go. Security right at the elevator.
Intercontinental - no go. Security right at the elevator.
Jaragua - no go. Security right at the elevator.
Hotel Santo Domingo - no go. Security right at the elevator. They even have a big sign in 3 languages saying Visitors are not allowed.
Clario - havent't asked or seen, but security in the lobby as well.

Hilton - yes, for a fee.
Courtyard Marriott - yes, without a fee.

P.S. DR hotels are very chica-unfriendly, opposed to Argentina hotels, where most of the mainstream hotels (including the 5 star Luxury Collection) are quite chica friendly at no charge.

i have seen chicas picked up in the casino at the Jaragua, when going to the elevators the "guest" would show her ID or shot card to the front desk and off they go. but, these may be in-house chicas for whom the hotel extends special favors.......................

I understand your perception on the matter, but in fact, you are asking on the www how to commit a crime.
As they charge for guests, it would be considered a theft, were you to be caught.

Agreed Rocky, hwever, many hotels, such as the SDQ Hilton, will let a guy friend or guest in the room, no questions asked, but if its a girl they say no way, because they assume, that you will be having sex with the woman.
So basically many hotels are charging for providing facilities for sex...

Hence they are acting as brothels in a way...Just my 2 cents..
:glasses:

Why do many hotels in the DR not allow female guests as opposed to more civilized countries?
Let's face it, prostitution is an epidemic in the country and many prostitutes,
not all, steal and/or cause problems!
