How can I send money and gifts to a family in Baron Punta Cana area

I have just come back from my first visit in Punta Cana and loved it. I met a very nice family who is struggling with a large medical bill. I want to help financially and provide what I can for the family but don't know how to send money so they will get it. I also don't know the best way to send clothing, toys etc. for their 2 year old daughter. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
