Making calls to US in DR

Recomendations for making calls from Casa Del Mar back to the US? Should we use a calling card, a prepaid card, or call direct from the hotel phone.

so it would be allmost imposible fore someone to give you A 100% ANSWER unless that the persone HAVE being in this Hotel lately

We got back from Casa del Mar about 2 months ago - making calls out was not an easy task! We made a few with our calling card and a few with a prepaid card. The most difficult part is getting the operator to get an outside line. With both methods, there was a charge from the hotel as well. I don't remember the precise charge which leads me to believe that it couldn't have been all that high. Anyway, it is a beautiful place. Have a good time and please tell Cesar on the animation staff that Danielle from Syracuse says hello and I will be back down in November.
