beautiful pictures! as amazing as the scenery is in the DR, its nice to see more than just palm trees and the ocean. i love seeing images of what life is really like there...

I recognised our famous do?a of Puerto Plata on her trusty steed. When we lived in the centre of town opposite the Amber Museum we would wave to her every day. She always turned up to get in position a few minutes before the first tourist buses arrived ;). Now we're on the outskirts of town, I see her riding along Luis Ginebra, coming from the Playa Dorada direction and going towards the centre, so I guess she is still working. That donkey must be able to do the journey blindfold by now.
