I am staying at the Caribbean Village with my friends next week and had a couple of questions if anyone knows the answers.

- What time do Casinos open in the complex

- I know this hotel has a sports bar, but does it have a club?

- I know the plaza has some clubs, what time do most people go to them?

- Is there anything worthwhile in the plaza during the day, or just a bunch of souvenier shops?

Thanks all.

HI

Not sure what time the casinos open and close...not my thing. But be forewarned that they can be shady, people have been know to lose tons of money.

I have not stayed at Caribbean Village, but most resorts have clubs on site. There are a few clubs and bars in the complex. To name a few...Mangu, Coco Bongo, Roadways, Hemingways. The party gets started after midnight and ends around 4am. Weekends are busier. I would also recommend local clubs. You will experience the real D.R. without the touristsy music and crowd.

There are two levels of shops and services in the plaza. You will find clothing, jewellery, souveniers, food and sundries, money exchange etc. It's worth a visit if you are looking to buy things. Prices are generally less and you have more variety to choose from. Don't be afraid to bargain either. You will also get a better rate for money exchange than you would at the resort. Take a ride into the city as well just for the experience if nothing else.
