We love to play, sit and go's, tourneys and cash games. We're wondering where we should go to play. Did Sosua Bay Hotel finally open a casino and do they have poker tables? Also, I'm concerned about the language barrier when playing. I'm assuming the dealers and most of the players are speaking Spanish, or am I incorrect? If the tables are mostly in spanish, maybe someone can give me a few key phrases i'll need to know (i.e. raise, call, all in, fold). Thanks!

Language is not an issue at the poker tables in Sosua/Cabarete

sit and go's are dealt most nights at Playa Chiquita. There is a fairly decent 100/200 (US$3/6) NL game on friday nights worth coming out to as well.

Good luck!

Are there any good $1/$2 tables anywhere? Thanks for the info!

for affordable cards playa chiquita is probably the best in the area, breezes has a reputation of being disreputable, ocean sands in cabarete has a good reputation but no 50 peso blackjack,
