I live in Montgomery Village in Maryland and would love to find a Dominican restaurant, social club or any event where my family an I can meet other Dominicans. I move here recently an haven't come across any.

Julito's Discotec
Arriegos Restaurant (Colombian food, Dominican owners)
Carolina's Restaurant, Washington, DC
Jaleo/Cafe Atlantico/Zantiyas: high-end pricey w/ Dominican owners.

Salons are all over:
Luisa's, silver Spring, MD
Giovanni's, etc. Washington, DC
(do a search in the DR1 files for more names)

Hangout: hard to tell. It'll be a mixed crowd.
There's a DC Dominican meetup group. if you are interested.

If you are a professional you may want to consider joining one of the Dominican professional network in DC. Group of Dominican Professionals in Washington, DC. Else, there is Grupo Cultural Dominicano (GCD) which is the local social club within the culture. There are also politically inclined (PLD/PRD) political offices that also serve to facilitate the social scene. There is also another group called the Madrugadores which is also a safe space to bring your family, and serves as a community resource.
