diving DR Worthwhile????

Normally i go east for christmas from the UK to thailand, phillipines, indonesia etc. and have got 50+ dives in the log book. This year im going to the dominican republic for 2 weeks. I just debating whether its worth while taking my dive gear with me. Will it be a disappointment or a worthwhile 3 or 4 days out of my trip.

There is some good diving here on the north coast but not like Cozumel, Honduras, Fiji, etc but not bad. We use north coast divers in Sosua
Welcome to Northern Coast Diving and Snorkeling Dominican Republic Puerto Plata Sosua Cabarete Rio San Juan Abreu Cabrera They also have a boat in Rio San Juan with some very nice dive sites. In fact there is dive club here in Sosua and we wll be placing some moorings in the Rio San Juan sites in the next couple of weeks.
I would take my regulator, mask and snorkel and rent the rest.

My boyfriend is a scuba instructor in Puerto Plata. They do most of their dives in Sosua. If you are interested in more information, plese PM me and I will be glad to help you with any information you may have.
