Skating

As far as I know there isn't any type of facility like that around. Roller skating, ice skating...coco bowl
It was a quick thought of mine (too much presidente?) to actually build an ice-skating rink in the DR, but when I did the figures of operating costs I suddenly realized that is was indeed the presidente dreaming.
If there was such a facility here it would no doubt be a smash.
Of course it would have to be an independent complex complete with its own power plant and that alone is too unrealistic. Great thought though.

True, and it isn't cheap.

if you have a bunch of kids, it's not really that expensive. it's 500 pesos an hour, plus the shoe rental. but the way kids bowl - you stick 5 on a lane and they go crazy for an hour. 100 pesos an hour per kid? not that bad.

now if you really take bowling seriously, then yes. it's expensive.
