OK, so I'm flying into Punta Cana from Detroit this week with my family for the Holidays. We'll be staying in Cotui most of the time. Last time I flew into PC the drive to Cotui was brutal (something like 8 hours), so I;m looking to break the trip into two legs.
I'll be arriving about 3:00 PM and would like to probably drive for another 2 to 3 hours...So where does that put me...La Romana, San Pedro? Anyone has a recommendation for a hotel for a one night stay (4 people) in this area?
Another alternative I'm looking into is would it be possible for us to take a Metro or Caribe tour bus to Santo Domingo at that time of the day (We'll be traveling with a lot of luggage).
My brother will be picking us up and I'm trying to avoid him driving all the way to PC and back to Cotui in one day...plus I'm sure we'll be drinking and I don't want him driving and drinking for that long of a time.
