Have rented a Condo in Cabarete , with a english written contract !!!
I'm wondering if this english written contract is legal , somebody told me that it would need to be written in spanish , is this correct ?.

Thanks in advance.

It is legal, however, if you have to go to court you'll have to have it translated by a certified legal translator. Also, if you made a deposit, it is obvious that the owner is pocketing your deposit instead of depositing it in the Banco Agr?cola as mandated by law, since the Banco Agr?cola only accepts contracts in Spanish. Finally, if the signatures are not authenticated by a Notary, the owner may also deny that the lease was ever signed by him (her).
