Summer employment

I currently teach English as a Second language in the United States and I'm looking to come to the Dominican Republic in the summer. I want to finish learning Spanish and I believe the two months there will help me with this.

I recently got back from Punta Cana and talked to some of the managers at the resorts for work. Does anyone know if resorts are ever looking for an English worker for a few months? I would also be open to summer school programs, tutoring?!

I'm not looking to make money, but really just room and board.

Any information would be helpful

Thanks,
Mallory

Welcome to DR1. Did the hotel managers you spoke to give you any indication? I suggest you follow up existing contacts and see if they agree to take you on. Otherwise it would be a question of trying to set something up once you arrive.
